Winter Haven FL

In Central Florida, Winter Haven is known for its canal-linked Chain of Lakes. Waterside parks and eateries can be found at several of the lakes, as can boat ramps and rental services. In addition to Cypress Gardens, a botanical garden built in 1930, now Legoland Florida Resort also features rides and a water park. Other natural adventures await at places like  Circle B Bar Reserve which has forest trails and wetlands inhabited by alligators just west of the city. Lake Hancock which can be accessed in Circle B is home to hundreds if not thousands of alligators that can be observed from a dock.

Winter Haven is known as a snowbird capital, and so in the fall the population booms until spring when they all go back home, still, this is a town worth staying in, if not living in.
